We recognize that the unity of the church is based solely on the person and work of Jesus and not on absolute agreement of other doctrines outside the atoning work of Jesus. We hold to the following statement of faith as well as affirm the foundation documents of The Gospel Coalition and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

-
There is only one true and living God who is the Creator of all things seen and unseen. He exists eternally in three Persons, each of which is fully God - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
-
The Bible is God’s written revelation of Himself to mankind divinely given through human authors who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. It is entirely true, totally sufficient, and completely authoritative for matters of life and faith.
-
Human beings are created by God to bear His image. As the crowning work of His creation, they are worthy of love, dignity and respect regardless of age, race, gender, or class, whether married or single. Because Adam and Eve sinned when tempted by Satan, the image of God in people is distorted but not lost. In union with fallen Adam, all people are sinners by nature and by choice, are alienated from God, and are destined to suffer the penalty of death and eternal separation from God. Only by the grace of God through Jesus Christ can they be saved from the penalty of their sins.
-
Jesus is the Christ, Israel’s promised Messiah. He was conceived without sin by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross to pay for mankind's sins. He was raised from the dead, He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father as our high priest and advocate.
-
According to the gospel of Jesus Christ, salvation comes through Christ alone, who is the only mediator between God and man. No other religion, belief, or person can bring people into a right relationship with God. Only Jesus provides forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation.
-
Salvation comes only through a faith relationship with Jesus Christ the Savior. A person demonstrates belief in Jesus by repenting of sin and receiving God’s free gifts of forgiveness and eternal life. Salvation is instantaneous and accomplished solely by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit according to the truth of God’s Word. This salvation is accomplished solely by the grace of God on the basis of Christ’s life, death and resurrection, not on the basis of human works. The Bible assures all believers that their salvation is eternally secure in Jesus Christ.
-
The Holy Spirit is sent by the Father and the Son to live within believers. He glorifies Jesus Christ and convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit is Himself the down payment of the believer’s promised inheritance, and on earth he indwells, guides, instructs, equips, and empowers believers for Christlike living and service.
-
The Holy Spirit immediately places all people who put their faith in Jesus Christ into one united spiritual body, the Church, of which Christ is the head. Members of the body of Christ worship and obey God and use their Spirit-given gifts to serve other members of the body. In obedience to Christ’s great commission, believers engage in the work to make and train disciples of all the nations.
-
God will bring the world to its appropriate end in His own time and in His own way. At that time, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to the earth in power and great glory. Christ will judge both the saved and unsaved. Those who have trusted Christ will receive a glorified body and dwell forever with the Lord. Those who have not trusted in Christ will spend eternity in hell, the place of everlasting punishment.
