The battle over our heart is a daily battle. Beneath every commercial, headline or relational interaction there is a world view vying for our allegiance. Hearing from God, through the scriptures, is an absolute need. Jesus fought temptations by quoting Deuteronomy 8:3. He said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” In saying this, he is telling us that we need to hear from God more than we need physical food. We acknowledge this reality by putting in place simple habits to be in the Word of God every day. 

This year as a church we are following the Seeing Jesus Together (SJT) bible reading plan. The SJT Bible Reading offers an app that shows the daily reading that can be read or listened to. There is also a journal to accompany the reading plan.

SEEING JESUS TOGETHER

The Seeing Jesus Together bible reading plan and journal is a simple method to help connect the words of God to our hearts. The plan covers the New Testament each year and the Old Testament over 3 years. You can expect an Old Testament and New Testament chapter Monday–Friday, a Psalms on Saturday, and on Sunday, go to church.
