Sex is a good gift from God--experienced his way, it means our joy and his glory. But as men, our sexual brokenness is one of the pieces of us that most hinders and frustrates our experience of nearness to Jesus. We feel shame and we feel alone. We hide and we wonder why our I’m-done-with-this pledges aren’t enough to keep us from returning to counterfeit pleasures like pornography.
In this group of men, the goal is to fix our eyes on Jesus. We’ll vulnerably tell our stories [even the worst parts of us], we’ll boldly link arms in our pursuit of holiness, and we’ll graciously remind one another of our secure identity as sons. More than strategies or streaks of success or behavior modification, we’ll learn what it means to apply the gospel to our brokenness and seek root-deep heart change [often, our sexual struggles aren’t about sex]. It might seem uncomfortable and risky, but with the help of God and a community of brothers, we can move toward the freedom and intimacy we so desire.
